Warm Winter Holiday Events

For many folks, November and December is a time for staying indoors and trying as best as they can to stay warm.  That is definitely not the case for Floridians. Surely, the people of Fort Myers Beach will still celebrate Thanksgiving and the holidays, but we just do it a little differently than the rest of the nation. Take a look! 

Fort Myers Beach Christmas Boat Parade

Sure, everyone has a parade they go to for the holidays. But at Fort Myers Beach instead of having a parade on the road with cars and trailers, we’ll see displays that actually "float".  The 31st Annual Fort Myers Beach Christmas Boat Parade is happening on December 7, 2019 with actual boats on the water -- hence a float! With over 30 boats participating this year you can expect the waters to reflect and the sky to be lit up with some fancy and decorative holiday colours. The parade starts at Salty Sam’s Marina and travels by many restaurants (can someone say dinner and a parade?) along the back bay. The event starts at 6:00 PM and all you need to do is pick the right restaurant to get the view that you are hoping for. Be courteous and make sure you support the restaurants you take a seat at!

Santa on the Sand

This one is for the kids! Santa on the Sand is back! What is this event, you might ask? Well, it is a kids event that requires a $5 donation and an unwrapped gift for admission. Upon entry, your kids can play games, munch on snacks, and even have an opportunity to get a photo with Santa! This event is on December 9, 2019, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM with all proceeds being directed to the Children’s Network of SW Florida.
