Artistry is probably-- no, is-- the definition of subjectivity. It is how we connect with the natural world, and even each other. With each person having unique experiences, the way we express ourselves will be different, and the way people receive our self-expressions will also differ. We digress, here are two artistic events that can help you reconnect with nature,  others, or even with yourself. 

Interstellar Symphony: The Planets

Music is an art form - there’s no argument about that. Some of the greatest hits have such great emotional impact. Some music can make you feel great, others can take you down a rabbit hole of deep emotion, and others will simply leave you awe-inspired with your jaw smack against the floor. This Interstellar Symphony will feature some of the greatest galactic music which includes Grondahl’s Concerto for Trombone, Star Wars Suite by John Williams, and of course, The Planets by Holst. These three orchestral journeys will provide you with a cosmic experience that really underlines the subjectivity of artistry in music. 

16th Annual Calusa Blueway Kayak Fishing Tournament

Fishing, for some, is definitely an art. For those unfamiliar with the sport, fishing can seem like a lot of waiting around for the possibility of not ever catching a single fish. Perhaps they just don’t have the art down pat yet. In any case, there is no way that fishing tournaments would exist if they did not require at least a bit of skill and artistry.  The 16th Annual Calusa Blueway Kayak Fishing Tournament is a great way to gain appreciation for this art form.  This event is on November 9 and November 10 at the Olde Fish House Marina in Matlacha Florida. There's a fee for participation, but watching this intriguing sport is free.
