Take Your Pick: Island Hopping Fun

Ready to get your island groove on? While there are many things to do right on Fort Myers Beach, there is plenty to do in the immediate area.  Whether it’s trying out some of the local restaurants, or learning about mechanics, or even listening to some good local tunes, the Fort Myers area has it all. All you need to do is hop either on or off the island!

 

17th Annual Tapa Hop

Tapas or “appetizer items” are a favourite all across the country. However, only in Fort Myers Beach do they do it best. Having trouble believing that? Well, then you need to check out the 17th Annual Tapa Hop. This fun includes hopping around to all the various restaurants that provide top line appetizer items. What’s even more exciting is that there will be a variety of prizes up for grabs. This event is on September 19th, 2019 from 3:30 PM onward starting at the South Beach Grille.

Maybe you need a break from all the food and need some more mental digest. Fort Myers Beach still has you covered. Over at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, you’ll find Matt Andres, expert, examine one of Ford’s remarkable visions: Fordson Tractor.  Come join them on September 18th, 2019 to a deep dive into the history and visionary landscape of Ford.  

 

Island Hopper Songwriter Fest

From September 20 to September 29, 2019, make sure you follow the itinerary as the Island Hopper Songwriter Festival literally hops through various locations to execute this (just over a) week-long event. From September 20 to 22, events will be held at Captiva Island. From the 23rd to the 26th, they’ll hail over in Downtown Fort Myers. Then to finish off the series, from the 27th to the 29th, they’ll be right on the Fort Myers Beach.
