Do you love clams and great jams? Then you’re going to want to check out the Fort Myers Seafood and Music Festival this January! For the second year in a row, this great event will be taking place in Fort Myers’ historic downtown. The dates for this year’s festivities are January 3rd to 5th — a perfect way to kick off the new year and the start of a new decade!
The festival opens on Friday, January 3rd at 4 pm. As you may have guessed from the name of the event, there will be no shortage of fresh, delicious seafood to dig into while you groove to tunes performed live by great local artists. There will be performances from every genre, including R&B, jazz, rock, reggae, and Caribbean. Some of the performers lined up for this year include R&B group RJ Howson, Fleetwood Mac tribute band Fleetwood Max, Bryan Spainhower offering a musical fusion of flamenco, jazz, rock and country, the Aretha Franklin tribute band, and so much more.
For food and beverage offerings, there will be plenty of fresh food cooked on-site with various options available for seafood lovers, meat-eaters, and vegetarians alike! There will also be side dishes and desserts! All the seafood prepared and served at the festival is sourced from our local Florida coast, so the catch of the day is fresh out of the water and sustainable. While you dine, you're also supporting the local economy.
You’ll also be able to shop the festival’s marketplace in between bites and live performances, where you can find local wares such as arts, crafts, specialty food products, and much more.
General admission to the festival is free, so bring along all family members and friends for a great time — and be sure to bring your appetites!
