Celebrating Progress in Two Different Ways

Progression is pivotal. Progression is overcoming barriers. Progression is something to be celebrated.  There are many things that slow progress down. One thing is certain, though -- all of these are barriers. And these barriers come in many different sizes.  Here are two events the exemplify the difference, all the while celebrating the progress made thus far!

 

Fourth of July Celebrations

Bright and early (for some) at 10 AM, the parade will kick-off the day of festivities.  Down at Estero Boulevard, right in Times Square Fort Myers Beach!  Then through the day many restaurants, lounges, and many other vendors set up shop within Times Square and along Estero Boulevard.  It’s a free event for anyone and everyone!

 

For those that need a quick reminder: the Fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, celebrates a historic moment in American history where the United States is formally recognized as an independent nation without sovereign ties.  Could not imagine a barrier greater than that. Such a barrier set in motion the conception of all the social systems in America today.

 

Coding Camp

Over the course of eight days, child participants of this coding camp will develop (computer) coding skills that will set them on the right path to create their own video game! While this event for the kids might cost a pretty penny ($370-$400), the benefits are endless. In a moving technology age, the youth of today must be comfortable and agile with technology to be able to use it intelligently in the future.  With initiatives like STE(A)M in place, this makes it easier, however, a “micro-barrier” like this sets in motion a new age of progress. Ah, all this deserves a separate blog on its own…
