Hungry? Cook It Yourself! - Cooking for the Arts

Ever wondered what it’s like to cook your own five-star meal, but didn’t know where to start? Well maybe the famous renown Chef Mike Gavala can guide you through your own experience. Join him on in Cooking for the Arts on Saturday, November 3rd at 6:00 PM for cocktails at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center (SBDAC). This once in a lifetime experience may be a little pricy, but it is all for a great cause.  Money raised will go to educational programs at SBDAC.
 

If The Sun Isn’t Hot Enough: Try Some Beer 

If the heat down here is still not enough for you, warm up some more with at the Matanzas Craft Beer Fest.  This one day event on Saturday, November 10th from Noon to 4 PM will make you believe it is still summer.  Craft Beer, Food, and Live Music, all for $50.00. A negligible cost for an amazing view of Estero Bay.  Not only do you get to enjoy, but your money will go to a great cause; the Operation Open Arms nonprofit organization will use proceeds to support military and veterans with PTSD. It’s a win-win situation.

Get to Know the Locals: Art & Poetry Networking Event

Okay, so maybe cooking is not your strong suit. Perhaps, drinking beer to live music in the blistering sun isn’t for you either. You should at least try this Art & Poetry Networking Event at the SBDAC. On Thursday, November 15th at 8PM, come for a night of celebrating highlighted artists. When you think about the opportunity and balance it with the $10 you are asked to spend, the answer should definitely be “Yes!”  Check out the raw and local talent.
