  • April 13, 2017

Visiting Fort Myers in May? Then you’re in luck, because there are plenty of great events taking place that’ll make sure your trip to the Sunshine State is a memorable one. As well as all the usual great goings on around the city, the month of may sees one of America’s most beloved singer-songwriters perform live, a showcase of some classic vehicles, and one of the all-time great plays.

Don McLean

‘A long, long time ago, I can still remember how that music used to make me smile…’. So sang Don McLean in the iconic smash hit song American Pie. On May 20, you’ll be able to let Don’s music make you smile at the Southwest Florida Performing Arts Center in Bonita Springs. Expect to hear plenty of classic tunes and have many singalong moments!

Classic Car Show

If you’re in town on May 15, make sure you head to Parrot Key Caribbean for the Classic Car Show. This is a monthly gathering, but it’ll be taking a break after this show until October. When you’re there you’ll be able to see antique cars, hot rods, muscle cars, and much more!

Jesus Christ Superstar

It’s Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic show, Jesus Christ Superstar, at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater, which is running from now until May 14. This rock n roll look at the last days of Jesus Christ is jam packed full of classic moments and an absolutely rocking soundtrack that’ll move and delight in equal measure. Not to be missed.
