Celebrate the Arts in Fort Myers this September

While it might be palm-lined beaches and gorgeous gulf views that have made the Fort Myers region famous, this November it will be the arts that take the area’s center stage! Over the course of the month, the arts will be represented in many forms in our beautiful corner of the sunshine state.

9^th Annual Paint the Beach | November 2-8

Whether you’re a talented painter, or simply a fan of the visual arts, Paint the Beach is worth checking out. The event, which runs from November 2^nd to 8^th, is highlighted by a series of art-related challenges. From a quick draw competition, to events that will see artists compete to produce the best rendition of local scenery, it’s an awesome pairing of art and competition that is not to be missed! Sanibel Island Writers Conference | November 5-8

For four fun November days, literature becomes the focal point in Fort Myers, as the region’s writer’s conference make its annual return. Targeted at readers and writers of all experience levels, from notebook scribblers to published poets, this one will feature everything from lectures, to readings, to meet-and-greets, and even some live music! It all goes down at the BIG ARTS Center on Sanibel Island, just an easy drive from our cozy beachfront hotel. Find more information here!

16^th Annual Bi-Estero Fine Art Show | November 21-22

If fine arts are more your cup of tea, turn your attention to the 16^th Annual Bi-Estero Fine Art Show on the weekend of November 21. This event, which will occur just a short drive from our hotel in nearby Estero, is set to feature the work of over 150 talented artists for a showcase that truly shouldn’t be missed.
